What we collect

Most of this site can be read without telling us anything. We collect information only when you choose to send it:

• Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
• Buyer and seller forms. The same details, plus what you are looking for or what you are selling.
• Home value request. Your contact details and the address of the property you are asking about.
• Message to an agent. Your contact details and your message, sent from an agent profile or a listing.
• Join the brokerage. Your contact details and a note about your experience and interest.

Our agents sign in to a private part of the site with a link we email to them. For that we keep each agent's email address and a record of their sign-in. Office administrators sign in with a Google account on the brokerage's domain. Neither sign-in involves a password stored by us.

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and we do not buy information about you from anyone else.

How we use it

• To answer your inquiry. That is the whole point of the forms.
• To route your message to the right person. A message about a listing goes to the agent who listed it. Everything else goes to the office, which hands it to an agent.
• To keep an office record of inquiries so nothing falls through the cracks.
• To send our own agents office email, such as sign-in links and brokerage updates.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

Your information is shared only as far as it takes to do the things above:

• Our agents and staff. The people who will actually respond to you. They are licensed Utah real estate agents affiliated with Selling Salt Lake.
• Resend, the service that delivers our email, including the copy of your inquiry sent to the office or the listing agent.
• Vercel and Neon, which host the website and store its database and uploaded files.

Listings shown on this site come from the Utah MLS (UtahRealEstate.com) under its data license. Reading listings sends nothing about you to the MLS.

Beyond that, we share information only when the law requires it or when it is needed to protect the brokerage, its agents, or the people who use this site.

How long we keep it

Inquiries stay in our office records so that an agent can follow up and so that we have a history of who we have talked to. We keep them as long as they are useful for that, and for as long as Utah real estate rules require us to keep business records. Sign-in records for agents and administrators expire on their own and are removed when they are no longer valid.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are session cookies for agents and administrators who sign in, so the site knows who they are from one page to the next. Visitors reading the public site get no cookies from us. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

This site is for adults looking to buy, sell, or work in real estate. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email home@sellingsaltlake.com from the address you used with us, or call the office at 801-998-8568. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may keep a record where the law or a real estate transaction requires it, and we will tell you if that applies.

You can also stop using the forms at any time. Nothing on the public site requires an account.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site collects or uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here before they take effect.
